The Scarlet & Violet Era (2023–2025)

The Scarlet & Violet era replaced V and VMAX mechanics with Pokemon ex and Tera Pokemon ex cards. Across its run it introduced Master Ball reverse holofoils (debuting in English in Prismatic Evolutions, SV8.5), Special Illustration Rares, and Hyper Rare gold cards. Key sets still available at Grailborne:

• Prismatic Evolutions (SV8.5, Jan 2025) — 147 cards. The Eeveelution set, featuring Umbreon ex SIR as the defining chase card of the entire era. Master Ball reverse holos debuted here in English. A standout release of the Scarlet & Violet era.
• Surging Sparks (SV8, Nov 2024) — 252 cards. Surfing Pikachu ex SIR is the headline pull ($240–280 raw). Latias ex and Latios ex SIRs deliver Gen 3 nostalgia at $80–110 each. One of the most popular 2024 standard-set releases.
• Destined Rivals (SV09 English, 2025) — Features Team Rocket's return and the Rocket-themed subset. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex is the marquee pull.
• Journey Together (2025) — Celebrates Pokemon partnerships with full-art trainer SIRs. One of the most collectible trainer-art sets in the era.
• Twilight Masquerade (SV6, May 2024) — Ogerpon-focused. First English set to feature Terastallized Ogerpon ex variants across multiple mask forms.
• Temporal Forces (SV5, Mar 2024) — Introduces Ancient and Future mechanic cards. Walker ex is a key competitive pull.
• Obsidian Flames (SV3, Aug 2023), Paldean Fates (SV4.5, Jan 2024), and 151 (SV2.5, Sep 2023) round out the back-catalogue. 151 features every original 151 Pokemon with ex variants and SIRs.

The Mega Evolution Series (2025–Current)

• Mega Evolutions (ME1, Sep 2025) — 188 cards (132 numbered + 56 secret rares). Based on the Japanese Mega Brave / Mega Symphonia sets. Why Buy Pokemon TCG from Grailborne

We are Australian collectors first. Every product ships factory sealed from our domestic warehouse with no third-party fulfilment — we handle packing ourselves to ensure mint-condition delivery. We do not open, weigh, or tamper with packs. All booster boxes and ETBs arrive with original manufacturer security seals intact.

Pokemon TCG sealed product has historically performed well over medium to long holding periods. Prismatic Evolutions mirrors the fundamentals of Hidden Fates (2019) and Evolving Skies (2021), both of which returned triple-digit percentage gains over 5 years. The Mega Evolution series benefits from XY-era nostalgia and the MHR rarity tier keeping collector excitement high across every new set release.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are all products factory sealed and authentic?
A: Yes. Every item ships in original sealed manufacturer packaging. We do not repack, reweigh, or tamper with any product. We are collectors ourselves and treat every order as if it were our own pull.

Q: Which set should I buy for the best chase card opportunities?
A: Prismatic Evolutions (Umbreon ex SIR) has the strongest long-term track record in the Scarlet & Violet era. For the Mega Evolution series, ME1 gives access to MHR pulls (Mega Lucario ex, Mega Gardevoir ex) and Mega Charizard X ex SIR. Surging Sparks is the pick for Surfing Pikachu ex.

Q: What is the difference between a Booster Box, ETB, and Booster Bundle?
A: A Booster Box contains 36 packs — the most pack volume per dollar and the best odds for hitting chase cards. An Elite Trainer Box contains 11 packs plus accessories (sleeves, dice, energy cards, exclusive promo) and is the best starting point for new collectors. A Booster Bundle is typically 6 packs — a great gift or casual purchase.

Q: Do you ship to all Australian states and territories?
A: Yes. We ship Australia-wide from our domestic warehouse with tracking on every order. See our shipping policy for delivery estimates by state.

Q: What is a Mega Hyper Rare (MHR) and how rare is it?
A: Mega Hyper Rare is the pinnacle rarity introduced in the Mega Evolution series. MHR cards feature fully gold-etched Mega Pokemon ex artwork with textured foil surfaces. The pull rate is approximately 1 in 1,260 packs — significantly scarcer than standard Hyper Rares.

Q: Are Scarlet & Violet sets still worth buying in 2026?
A: The top back-catalogue sets — Prismatic Evolutions, Surging Sparks, and 151 — are no longer in active production.

Q: Can I buy single booster packs instead of a full box?
A: Yes. We stock loose packs and blister packs across most active sets. See our Loose Packs & Boosters collection for available singles and blisters.
