Pokémon 30th Celebration: Which Product to Buy? Every Box Compared (Australia)
By Grailborne
Grailborne · 30th Celebration buying guide
Pokémon 30th Celebration compared
Which box should you buy? All 13 products on our shelf compared: what is inside each one, what every pack costs, which ones are in stock now and which land on 2 October, 30 October and 6 November.
30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box, the flagship of the wave-one release.
30th Celebration is the Pokémon TCG’s 30th anniversary expansion, and it is built differently from any main set. Every card is foil, every pack holds five cards, and one of those five is always one of 30 Pikachu rares, each with its own holofoil pattern. There is no 36-pack booster box in the line-up, so the packs reach collectors through a spread of boxes, tins and collections. This guide lines them all up side by side so you can choose the one that fits how you collect.
What is on the shelf
6 products are in stock now and ship Australia-wide in 1 to 2 business days: the Elite Trainer Box, ex Box, Poster Collection, Tech Sticker Collection, Knock Out Collection and single packs. 7 more are open for pre-order against their release dates: the Booster Bundle, Mini Tin and Binder Box on 2 October 2026, the Battle Decks on 30 October 2026, and the Ditto Premium Collection, Figure Collection and Ultra-Premium Collection on 6 November 2026. Prices and stock were read from the store on 1 October 2026.
An exclusive 9-pocket binder for your chase cards plus 5 anniversary packs, storage and packs in one box. Releases 2 Oct 2026; pre-order allocation open.

What every pack costs
Computed from live prices
Because there is no booster box, the fairest way to compare the line-up is price per pack. The four smaller collections in stock now, the Knock Out, Tech Sticker and Poster Collections and the ex Box, all sit between A$29.75 and A$33 a pack, which means the promos, the poster, the stickers and the oversize cards come along for almost nothing. The larger collections add figures, displays and playmats on top.

Which one is right for you
Matched to how you collect
›
To rip as many packs as possible: the Tech Sticker Collection, ex Box and Knock Out Collection give you the most packs per dollar in stock today, and the Booster Bundle adds six packs at a time from 2 October.
›
For one box to keep sealed: the Elite Trainer Box is the flagship of the first wave and the box most collectors associate with the set. The Ultra-Premium Collection is the centrepiece of the whole line-up when it lands in November.
›
For the promos: the Poster Collection is the only product with all three Legendary Birds, and the ex Box is the way to own the Sylveon ex or Greninja ex promo with its oversize card.
›
For display: the Figure Collection pairs Mew or Mewtwo, the two Pokémon on the Futuristic Rares, with a Kaiyodo figure, and the Ditto Premium Collection comes with an acrylic card display.
›
To play: the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks are ready-built 60-card all-foil decks, the only product here with no packs to open.
›
For gifts and stocking stuffers: single packs and the Mini Tins. The ten tin designs join into two larger pictures, which makes them a collection on their own.

What the market is telling us
Pull difficulty × character demand
We read every set through the same framework: value is pull difficulty multiplied by character demand. 30th Celebration shows both halves clearly. The three RGB Mew sit outside the card numbering, the hardest cards in the set to find, and trade at about A$5,260 to A$5,670 each. Below them, the Special Illustration Rares are led by Mew ex, Gengar ex, Pikachu ex and Mewtwo ex, four of the most loved characters in the franchise.
The Futuristic Rares are the set’s signature. Mewtwo ex 157 and Mew ex 158 are the first cards in a new rarity drawn by YOSHIROTTEN, the artist behind the RGB Mew as well, and Mew ex 158 already averages about A$149 raw. The Pikachu rares, one in every pack, are the other half of the story: 30 cards, one Pokémon, a set within the set that collectors are building complete.
Anniversary appeal
Anniversary expansions are event releases. They celebrate the franchise itself rather than a single region or game, and in this set every pack carries a guaranteed Pikachu rare. 30th Celebration was released worldwide on the same day, 16 September 2026, with a new rarity and an all-foil card list, and it is the product line collectors will associate with the Pokémon TCG’s 30th year.

A guaranteed hit in every pack. One of 30 Pikachu rares in each five-card pack, so every product in this guide opens into something collectable.
›
Consistent value across the line-up. The Knock Out, Tech Sticker and Poster Collections and the ex Box all sit between A$29.75 and A$33 a pack, with their promos, poster, stickers and oversize card included.
›
A deep chase. Three RGB Mew, two Futuristic Rares and a Special Illustration Rare list led by Mew ex, Gengar ex, Pikachu ex and Mewtwo ex.
›
Smart-buy note. Pair an opener with a keeper: rip the three-pack collections or a bundle, and hold an Elite Trainer Box or the Ultra-Premium Collection sealed in its shrink wrap, flat, out of direct sunlight and away from humidity.
Practically: six products are in stock and ship now, and the rest are open for pre-order against fixed release dates in October and November, so you can plan your whole 30th Celebration collection from one shelf. Everything here is English and factory sealed, and a pre-order locks in your box before release day.
Grailborne’s mission: as always, Grailborne strives to get modern Pokémon sets into the hands of collectors, investors and rippers — securing inventory in high volumes from the secondary market so there’s always something available for everyone.
Grailborne Index is our own editorial rating, not financial advice. Figures cite indicative sealed-market prices; collectibles can fall as well as rise. Do your own research and buy what you enjoy.
Frequently asked questions
Release · chase · hold thesis
Is there a 30th Celebration booster box?+
No. The official line-up has no 36-pack booster box. Packs come in the Elite Trainer Box, Booster Bundle, ex Box, Poster Collection, Tech Sticker Collection, Knock Out Collection, Mini Tins, Binder Box, Ditto Premium Collection, Figure Collections and the Ultra-Premium Collection, as well as single packs. That is why the cost-per-pack table above is the fairest way to compare them.
Which 30th Celebration product gives the most packs for the money?+
Among the products in stock now, the three-pack Tech Sticker Collection, the four-pack ex Box and the two-pack Knock Out Collection come out lowest per pack, and each adds a promo on top. The cost-per-pack table above is worked out from live prices, so it is the one to check on the day you buy.
When do the Booster Bundle, Mini Tin, Binder Box and Ultra-Premium Collection arrive?+
The Booster Bundle, Mini Tin and Binder Box release on 2 October 2026, the Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks on 30 October 2026, and the Ditto Premium Collection, Figure Collection and Ultra-Premium Collection on 6 November 2026. All of them are open for pre-order at Grailborne now and ship as soon as they land.
What are the chase cards in 30th Celebration?+
The three RGB Mew, secret cards outside the numbering, lead the set at about A$5,260 to A$5,670 raw on PriceCharting. After them come the Special Illustration Rares, with Mew ex 152 at about A$247 and Gengar ex 154 at about A$181, and the two Futuristic Rares, Mew ex 158 and Mewtwo ex 157.
Which 30th Celebration product includes the Classic Collection?+
The Ultra-Premium Collection. Alongside its 29 regular packs it includes one Classic Collection pack of three cards from the Classic Collection, the anniversary reprint series of famous cards from across the Pokémon TCG’s history. It releases on 6 November 2026 in Day (Espeon ex) and Night (Umbreon ex) versions.
Should I open 30th Celebration or keep it sealed?+
Both work well with this set. Opening is rewarding because every pack carries a Pikachu rare, and the promos in each product are yours either way. For holding, the Elite Trainer Box and the Ultra-Premium Collection are the flagship sealed pieces of the line-up. Many collectors do both: open the smaller collections and keep one flagship box sealed.
