Illustration Boxes compared
Every One Piece Illustration Box on our shelf, Vol.2 to Vol.10, compared: which packs are inside each volume, which two box-exclusive promos it holds, and what the packs can hit.

The Illustration Box is Bandai’s collector format for the One Piece Card Game. Every volume pairs four English booster packs with two promotion cards redrawn in art that appears nowhere else, and every volume draws its packs from a different pair of sets. That makes each box its own small time capsule of the game: Vol.2 opens Wings of the Captain and Two Legends, Vol.3 and Vol.4 open Legacy of the Master, Fist of Divine Speed and Two Legends, and Vol.9 and Vol.10 will open OP-17 and OP-18. This guide lines every volume we stock up side by side.

Card numbers from the Bandai product pages (IB-02 to IB-04) and the TCGplayer and PriceCharting promo listings. Each promo keeps the text of the card number shown and carries a new illustration made for the box.
The promos hold real collector demand of their own. A PSA 10 of the Vol.2 Yamato averages about A$145 on PriceCharting and the Vol.2 Black Maria about A$116, while PSA 10 copies of the Vol.3 Roronoa Zoro and Monkey.D.Luffy sit near A$73 and A$62. Opened carefully and sleeved straight from the box, these are ideal grading candidates.

What the market is telling us
Pull difficulty × character demandWe read every product through the same framework: value is pull difficulty multiplied by character demand. The Illustration Box scores on both halves at once. The pull-difficulty side lives in the packs: Manga rares such as the OP06-118 Roronoa Zoro (about A$3,984 raw) and the OP11-118 Monkey.D.Luffy (about A$1,699) are the hardest pulls in their sets. The character side lives in the promos: Luffy, Zoro, Yamato, Mihawk, Rayleigh and Kid are among the most collected names in the game, and every one of them appears here in art you can only get from this box.
Supply is the third factor. Each volume is a single print run tied to the sets of its day, and Vol.2 was sold only in North America, so every English copy in Australia arrived by import. Once a volume leaves general retail it is only found through import and resale, which is why a shelf holding Vol.2, Vol.3 and Vol.4 next to the current volumes is the easiest way to fill a run.
