POKÉMON BLISTER PACKS AUSTRALIA

Six sealed blisters are live on the site right now, from a A$16 single-pack checklane to a A$58 Gym Leader two-pack. Every one carries a foil promo you cannot pull from a booster pack. Here is what is inside each format, what it costs per pack, and what sealed blisters do once a set goes out of print.

Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Pitch Black 3-Pack Blister sealed
Pitch Black 3-pack blister — three ME05 packs and a foil Binacle promo

Blisters are the shelf format everyone walks past and almost nobody writes about properly. They are the lowest-ticket sealed format that still guarantees a foil promo card — A$16 against A$149 for an Elite Trainer Box — and on the secondary market the aged ones quietly outrun the packs they contain. Grailborne currently stocks six of them across four expansions, and the spread between the cheapest and the most collectible is the whole story.

Stock status
All six blisters below are in stock and shipping now, with live prices read from the Grailborne catalogue at the time this guide was built. Dispatch is 1–2 business days and shipping is free over A$350. Prices and stock on trading cards move quickly, so the product page is always the final word.

The three blister formats

Decoded
01
Checklane blister — 1 pack + foil promo + coin
A$16 – A$19.90Lowest ticket
The hook-and-peg blister that hangs beside the register. One booster pack of 10 cards and 1 Basic Energy, one exclusive foil promo, one metal collector coin. It is the smallest sealed unit Pokémon makes that still includes a card you cannot pull from a pack, which is why it is the format most people use to start a sealed run without committing to a box.
02
3-pack blister — 3 packs + foil promo
A$32 – A$45Best per-pack rate
Three booster packs mounted on a card behind a clear shell, with the foil promo displayed front and centre. This is where blisters get genuinely efficient: the Perfect Order 3-pack runs A$10.67 a pack against A$10 for a loose ME03 pack, so the Chikorita promo and coin effectively cost 67c a pack.
03
2-pack blister collection — 2 packs + promo + themed coin
A$58Character-led
Built around a named character rather than a random Pokémon. The Ascended Heroes version pairs two ME2.5 packs with either Erika’s Tangela or Larry’s Komala as the foil promo, plus a matching Gym Leader coin. Character-led promos are the ones that move on the secondary market, because demand follows the trainer, not the rarity symbol.

What the market is telling us

Pull difficulty × popularity

Sealed blisters follow the same rule every other sealed product follows: value is pull difficulty multiplied by character popularity. The difference is that a blister carries the character on the outside. A 2021 Evolving Skies checklane is not scarce because Evolving Skies packs are scarce, it is scarce because the promo on the front says Eevee — and the market has spent five years proving it.

Sealed blister Secondary estimate Set
Evolving Skies 3-Pack Blister (Eiscue) US$186.48 · A$259 SV era · 2021
Fusion Strike 3-Pack Blister (Eevee) US$80.00 · A$111 2021
Evolving Skies Checklane (Eevee) US$74.75 · A$104 2021
Evolving Skies 3-Pack Blister (Umbreon) US$52.98 · A$74 2021
Ascended Heroes 2-Pack (Erika) US$31.00 · A$43 ME2.5 · Jan 2026
Journey Together 3-Pack (Scrafty) US$26.37 · A$37 SV09 · Mar 2025
Pitch Black 3-Pack Blister US$22.13 · A$31 ME05 · Jul 2026
Chaos Rising Checklane (Zacian) US$15.83 · A$22 ME04 · May 2026

Secondary-market estimates from PriceCharting loose sealed values, read 7 September 2026 and converted at 1 USD = A$1.3882 (frankfurter.app, 4 September 2026). These are US-market figures before international freight, GST and Australian allocation costs, so treat them as a directional read on how each format ages, not an Australian retail benchmark. Sealed values move with condition and time.

Two things fall out of that table. First, the top four rows are all Eevee-line blisters — Eiscue aside, the market has sorted itself by character, exactly as the framework predicts. Second, the current-era rows are where the opportunity sits: an Ascended Heroes Erika 2-pack already comps at A$43 seven months after release, and Ascended Heroes is a set with three Special Illustration Rares still in demand.

Where Grailborne lands under the comp
The Chaos Rising checklane at A$16 sits under the A$22 converted comp for the Zacian version of the same blister.

The Grailborne Take

78/100
Grailborne Index
The cheapest sealed format that still guarantees an exclusive card.
Investment-hold rating — weighs set scarcity, character demand, comparables & retail-vs-secondary spread.
›
Six blisters live across four expansions, from A$16 to A$58, and every single one is in stock and shipping today — three different formats covered without a pre-order in sight.
›
The Perfect Order 3-pack at A$10.67 a pack is the standout: it beats the Elite Trainer Box per-pack rate on the same set by A$4.77 and still hands you the foil Chikorita promo and a coin.
›
Blister promos are separately numbered cards that never appear on a set checklist, so the blister is the only sealed product that carries them — which is exactly why the aged ones comp above the packs they contain.
›
How to hold it well: keep the shell uncreased and the hook tab intact, store flat and out of direct light, and favour the character-led promos. Eevee-line and Gym Leader blisters are the ones the 2021 comps reward five years on.

Practically: buy the blister that matches the set you already believe in. If you want the lowest possible entry, the A$16 Chaos Rising checklane gets you a sealed pack, a promo and a coin. If you want the best per-pack maths, the Perfect Order 3-pack is the sharpest number of any blister here. If you are buying to hold, the Ascended Heroes 2-pack is the one with genuine character pull behind it. Blisters are also the easiest sealed product to store well: they lie flat, they stack, and a single shoebox holds a dozen of them out of direct light. Depth on the thinner lines here is single-digit, so the sets you already believe in are worth securing first.

Grailborne’s mission: as always, Grailborne strives to get modern Pokémon sets into the hands of collectors, investors and rippers — securing inventory in high volumes from the secondary market so there’s always something available for everyone.

Grailborne Index is our own editorial rating, not financial advice. Figures cite indicative sealed-market prices; collectibles can fall as well as rise. Do your own research and buy what you enjoy.

Frequently asked questions

Release · chase · hold thesis
Can I pull the blister promo from a normal booster pack?+
No, and that is the whole point of the format. Blister promos carry their own promo numbering and sit outside the expansion checklist, so a Chikorita from the Perfect Order 3-pack, a Slowpoke from the Pitch Black checklane or a Binacle from the Pitch Black 3-pack cannot appear inside a booster pack from those sets. The blister is the only sealed product that carries them.
Do sealed blisters actually hold value once a set goes out of print?+
The 2021 shelf format is the evidence. An Evolving Skies Umbreon 3-pack blister comps at US$52.98 (about A$74) and the Eevee checklane at US$74.75 (about A$104) on PriceCharting today, five years after they hung on the same pegs the Chaos Rising checklane hangs on now. Fusion Strike’s Espeon and Eevee 3-packs sit at US$78.22 and US$80.00. The character on the front is doing most of that work, which is why the Ascended Heroes Erika and Larry blisters are the current-era ones worth watching.
Checklane or 3-pack — which is the better hold?+
The 3-pack wins on maths and the checklane wins on ticket size. A Pitch Black 3-pack is A$15 a pack against A$19.90 for the single-pack checklane, and it carries the Binacle promo. The checklane earns its place when you want the smallest sealed unit that still guarantees a foil and a coin, or when you are buying several across different sets to spread the bet. Long term the comps favour whichever one has the more wanted character on the front, not the pack count.
Should I open a blister or keep it sealed?+
Open the current-era ones and hold the character-led ones. Chaos Rising and Pitch Black are in print and the packs inside are live on the newest chase lists, so ripping them costs you very little optionality. Ascended Heroes, Journey Together and the Phantasmal Flames pair are the ones where the sealed shell is doing real work, because those sets are finished or finishing and the promo on the front is the part the market prices. If you are holding, keep the blister card flat and the shell uncrushed — blister condition is graded on the packaging, not the cards.
