Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World is the official 2024 relaunch of the Dragon Ball Super TCG by Bandai. It replaces the original DBS Card Game with a redesigned rule system built for faster, more accessible gameplay — while still rewarding competitive depth. The English language Fusion World line launched with FB01 Awakened Pulse on February 23, 2024, and has since grown into one of the most actively expanding TCGs in Australia's hobby scene.

Set Details

Chase Cards and Key Pulls

Every Fusion World booster set includes exactly 2 Secret Rare (SCR) cards — the top tier pulls. Each Secret Rare also has an alternate-art version, making them the ultimate targets for collectors and PSA submitters.

• FB01 Son Goku (SCR FB01-139): The flagship Secret Rare of Awakened Pulse. PSA 10 graded copies have sold through GameStop and secondary market retailers. The alternate-art version is significantly harder to pull than the standard SCR print.
• FB01 Son Gohan: Childhood (SCR FB01-140): Second Secret Rare from Awakened Pulse. Features nostalgic artwork from the Cell arc era with strong gameplay utility.
• FB02 Golden Frieza (SCR FB02-140): The standout Secret Rare from Blazing Aura. The alternate-art version commands a consistent premium on the secondary market. PSA 10 copies have traded through major graded card retailers.
• FB02 Super Rares: All 12 Super Rares in FB02 have alternate-art versions, making even non-SCR pulls collectible targets — a rarity structure that drives booster box demand beyond the top-tier hits.
• Leader Cards: Foil leader cards anchor every Fusion World deck. Collecting playset-quality copies of key leaders (Goku, Vegeta, Cell, Fused Zamasu) is a primary driver of booster box demand across the competitive player base.

Collector Notes

Fusion World launched as a deliberate break from the original DBS Card Game, which had accumulated over 3,000 cards in its pool. The clean-slate approach means the entire meta is contained within a manageable set count — an accessible entry point for new collectors while giving early buyers first-mover advantage on key pulls from inaugural sets.

The alternate-art chase structure across both SCR and SR slots means booster box expected value is front-loaded toward specific hit cards. Grading services like PSA saw consistent Dragon Ball Fusion World submissions throughout 2024, with FB01-139 Son Goku SCR among the most graded new-release TCG cards of that year's Q1 launch window.

For competitive players, Fusion World's regular ban and restriction list — which has already hit Kefla (restricted), Ribrianne (banned), and Master Roshi (banned) — keeps the format evolving and sustains continued demand for core set booster boxes as the meta shifts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Dragon Ball Super Fusion World the same as the original Dragon Ball Super Card Game?
A: No. Fusion World launched in 2024 as a complete relaunch by Bandai with a new ruleset, new card frames, and a separate card pool starting from FB01. Original DBS Card Game cards are not legal in Fusion World constructed formats.

Q: How many packs does a Fusion World booster box contain?
A: All standard Fusion World booster boxes contain 24 packs, with 12 cards plus 1 digital code per pack — 288 cards total per box.

Q: What are the odds of pulling a Secret Rare in Fusion World?
A: Bandai has not published exact pull rates. Community data from opened boxes indicates Secret Rares appear at approximately 1 per 2–3 boxes on average. Each set contains exactly 2 Secret Rares, with alternate-art versions being rarer than the standard SCR print.

Q: Are Fusion World products available in English in Australia?
A: Yes. The English edition launched on February 23, 2024 (FB01) with subsequent sets following roughly every 3–4 months. All products at Grailborne are English-language edition unless specifically listed as Japanese.

Q: Which Fusion World set should I buy first?
A: FB01 Awakened Pulse is the foundation set with the most established secondary market pricing on its chase cards. If you are building a competitive deck, check the current ban list and tier lists at dragonball.gg before purchasing, as some sets are more relevant to the live meta than others.
