LEGO Sets — Premium & Retired, Factory Sealed
Grailborne stocks a curated range of LEGO sets across the themes adult collectors and gift buyers actually care about: Star Wars UCS and character sets, Technic supercars, Speed Champions F1 cars, Icons display models, Ideas fan-designed builds, and the officially licensed Pokémon x LEGO collaboration. Every set leaves our Brisbane warehouse factory sealed, stored flat to protect box corners.
We carry both current retail releases and officially retired sets that are no longer available from LEGO directly. Retired sets are marked clearly — once LEGO ends a production run, sealed stock becomes progressively harder to find at RRP.

Collector Notes
Sealed LEGO sets — particularly UCS Star Wars, Icons flagships, and licensed D2C exclusives — have historically appreciated after retirement. The UCS Landspeeder (75341) was the first-ever UCS treatment of the X-34 Landspeeder and is already trading above its retail price on the secondary market. The 1989 Batwing (76161) was a LEGO Direct-to-Consumer exclusive, meaning it was never sold through Target, Big W or department stores, making sealed examples structurally rarer than standard retail sets.
The Pokémon x LEGO Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise set (72153) is a 6,838-piece adult display set commemorating Pokémon’s 30th anniversary (1996–2026). It was designed specifically for adult builders, with large-scale display sculptures of all three original starter Pokémon. Given the dual Pokémon and LEGO collector IP crossover, secondary market interest is expected to be strong post-retirement.
Technic F1 sets — the Ferrari SF-24 (42207) and Red Bull RB20 (42206), both at 1:8 scale with working gearboxes — have a track record of appreciation after retirement as the licensed team liveries become season-specific period pieces tied to specific championship years.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are all sets genuinely factory sealed?
A: Yes. Every LEGO set we sell ships in its original sealed retail packaging. Sets are stored flat in a dry, climate-controlled environment to prevent box warp or corner damage. We do not repackage or reseal any sets.
Q: What does “retired” mean for a LEGO set?
A: LEGO officially retires sets by ending production runs and removing them from their own store and major retail partners. Once retired, the only source for new sealed stock is the secondary market. All retired sets on Grailborne are genuinely sealed, not rebuilt or repackaged.
Q: Do you ship LEGO sets to all Australian states?
A: Yes. We dispatch from Brisbane via Australia Post. Standard delivery covers all states and territories — typically 2–7 business days depending on location. Express options are available at checkout.
Q: How do I know which sets are retired versus still in production?
A: Each retired product listing is labelled “(Retired)” in the title. Active sets are current retail releases. We update retirement status as LEGO announces end-of-life dates.
Q: Are LEGO sets good investments when bought sealed?
A: Sealed LEGO sets in high-demand categories — UCS Star Wars, licensed exclusives, D2C-only releases, and Icons flagship sets — have historically appreciated 50–200% above RRP within 3–5 years of retirement. Performance varies by set, theme and condition. Factory sealed condition is the baseline requirement for secondary market value. This is not financial advice.
